Multi-band Radios and Antennas

Si2 is soon to introduce a family of SiP solutions for the next generation mobile devices. These products could be tailored to meet customer specific end product features. It is targeted to be embedded into smart-phones, PDA's, notebook computers, media players and personal gaming systems. The module is a highly integrated FSiP that combines multiple RF radio systems into a single form-factor. These RF radio systems are pre-engineered to work in coexistence, thus significantly reducing the time-to-market.

The key technologies being developed for this are:

• Multi-band, multi-service chip antenna system supporting applications from 700 MHz to 5.5 GHz. Our proprietary isolation technology will allow up to 4 frequencies to operate simultaneously.
• A compact multi-service/band radio SiP module supporting the above frequencies is developed utilizing embedded passives in LTCC substrate and standard RF IC's.
• A single SiP based programmable analog and digital base band processor by integrating custom ASIC's and standard IC's (IP)
