Si2's
FSiP Products are standard or semi-custom general-purpose SiP modules targeted at Wireline & Wireless Communications markets.
Greater functionality in a smaller area for consumer and portable products is achieved through a single package that contains multiple bare die, or CSP (Chip Scale Packaging), Integrated Passive Devices (IPD) including filters, antennas, and/or mechanical parts. Components are mounted together on a substrate to create a customized, highly integrated product for a specific application.
Si2 is sampling the following products for the Wireline Communication Market:
Si2-6500 SiP - DASLIP™ (Dual Analog Subscriber Line Interface Processor): Si2-6500 is an FSiP that provides two FXS ports for connecting audio telephones.
- World's first SLIC/SLAC with 99% of discrete devices embedded
- Smallest Footprint - 28.93mm x 48.26mm x 4.25 mm (1.14" x 1.9")
- Lowest Power (30 - 40% lower than the existing solution in the on-hook and off-hook states)

Si2-6000 SiP - Multimode Residential Gateway System-in-Package:
Si2-6000 is an FSiP which is a highly integrated, single module design that implements a fully functional Residential Gateway / IAD functions except WAN PHY, connectors, magnetics and power supply.
Si2-6000 integrates Si2's Si2-6500 SiP for Dual Voice-over-IP analog telephone ports implementing all functions of SLIC/SLAC for direct interface to analog telephones.
- Atlanta 100 communications processor.
- High performance, 200MHz RISC core and DSP; All voice media processing offloaded from RISC core to DSP for best-in-class performance.
- Packet accelerator engine with support for wire-speed small packet bridging, routing, QoS and IPSec

Si2 is soon to introduce a family of FSiP solutions for next generation mobile devices. These products could be tailored to meet customer specific end-product features. It is targeted to be embedded into smart-phones, PDAs, notebook computers, media players, and personal gaming systems. The module is a highly integrated FSiP that combines multiple RF radio systems into a single form-factor. These RF radio systems are pre-engineered to work in coexistence, thus significantly reducing the time-to-market.
The key technologies being developed for this are:
1) Multi-band, multi-service chip antenna system supporting applications from 700 MHz to 5.5 GHz. Our proprietary isolation technology will allow up to 4 frequencies to operate simultaneously.
2) A compact multi-service/band radio SiP module supporting the above frequencies is developed utilizing embedded passives in LTCC substrate and standard RF IC's.
3) A single SiP based programmable analog and digital base band processor by integrating custom ASIC's and standard IC's (IP).
